1. Alnwick International Market 29th May 2011

Experience the tastes of other countries in one market …market traders from around the world wearing traditional costumes with a variety of stalls which may include: olives, Italian nougat, charcuterie, Brittany biscuits, Corsican salami, Marseilles soap and lavender, sweets and Turkish delight, fresh bread and croissants.
 

2. Strawberry Food and Craft Festival, Brockbushes Corbridge

Come along to the lovely Brockbushes Farm near Stocksfield on the 2nd and 3rd July 2011.

Lots of local foods to sample and crafts to buy. Pick Your Own will be in full flow so lots of juicy Strawberries, Raspberries and Currants to pick.
 

3. Continental Market from Brittany, Alnwick

This fabulous French market will be taking place over 3 days from Sunday 28th – Tuesday 30th August 2011.

This the 2nd visit of this popular event to Alnwick. Come along and sample a wide variety of French delights including home made, crepes, pastries, breads, preserves, soaps and more…..

4. Berwick Food Festival

Organised by Berwick’s Slow Food Convivium, the festival is a unique chance for visitors to find out more about the thriving local food scene in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. The event will take place in The Parade in the town centre on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September 2011. Entry £2 for adults, Children under 12 free – includes entry to festival and all Barracks attractions.

Highlights include: Producers’ Market with over 40 stalls, Beer Festival featuring regional real ales and ciders, Animal Farm featuring rare breeds, Children’s Taste Adventure, Cookery demonstrations by local chefs, Historical Re-enactments and displays, Catering with delicious local food, Music from local groups and bands.

5. Alnwick Food Festival

Alnwick is set to be the culinary capital of Northumberland again when the seventh food festival hits the town on September 23, 2011 for the weekend. Organisers have packed this festival even more food, fun and gastronomical delights, and our celebrity chef this year is Jean Christoph Novelli.
